What is Code#?
Code# (pronounced "Code Sharp") is SMU Ellipsis' Annual Coding Competition organised for SMU's School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS) community. Through a series of daily coding challenges, Code# is an avenue for students to hone their coding skills. With questions tiered by difficulty, Code# offers a friendly introduction to beginners and a good challenge to seasoned programmers alike!
Code# 2024 is only open to SMU SCIS students. All participants have to register through the Google Form above before they can take part. Successful registrants will be informed via email. When the competition starts, participants will be given access to the challenge platform where they can solve the coding problems.
Competition Details
Ellipsis Code# 2024 will take place from 26 February 2024 - 1 March 2024 over recess week.
Prizes and Goodie Bags
To encourage beginners to take part, attractive goodie bags are also available to participants with a minimum score of 600 points! Goodie bags are limited only to the top 200 participants that meet the score requirement.
Strictly no cheating or sharing of answers is allowed during the competition. Any participant found sharing solutions or plagiarising code will be automatically disqualified and made inelligible for goodie bags or prizes.
